Last year, you may have experienced an issue where the following workflows would not send notifications in late December:
Anniversary Date
Birthday Greeting
Birthday Date
If you have one of these workflows in your company with the following default Workflow IDs, Avanti has automatically updated your workflow. It will send notifications as expected in December, so there is no action required on your part.
Workflow | Default Workflow ID |
Anniversary Date | Anniversary |
Birthday Greeting | BdayGreeting |
Birthday Reminder | BdayReminder |
If you have one of these workflows with a Workflow ID that differs from above, you will need to reinsert the workflow. See the guidelines below on how to Confirm Your Workflow ID.
How to Confirm Your Workflow ID
Unsure whether you need to update your workflow? This section will guide you through confirming your Workflow ID.
Step 1: In the Avanti Desktop Application, navigate to Maintain Workflows.
By default, this can be found in Workflows.
Step 2: Review your Workflows and review the Workflow ID for the anniversary date and birthday workflows.
If the Workflow ID matches the Default Workflow ID, no action is required on your part. Your workflow will send notifications in December.
If the Workflow ID is different than the Default Workflow ID, move on to Replace Your Workflow.
Workflow | Default Workflow ID |
Anniversary Date | Anniversary |
Birthday Greeting | BdayGreeting |
Birthday Reminder | BdayReminder |
Replace Your Workflow
There are three steps to replacing your workflow:
Get the setup from your existing workflow
Create the new workflow
Delete the previous workflow
Get the Set Up from Your Existing Workflow
Before adding the new workflow, you need to review your existing workflow to replicate its set up. This will ensure that the correct individuals continue to receive the workflow notification.
