How To Set Up Notifications on the New Avanti Experience

**The New Avanti Experience was released in Avanti 10**

As an administrator, you need to set up workflows for your employees to receive notifications in the New Avanti Experience and Avanti Go.

Additional Information
If you’ve already updated workflows so you receive notifications in Avanti Go, you’ll also get notifications in the New Avanti Experience. The setup for notification on the New Avanti Experience and Avanti Go is the same.

This is only applicable to clients with Workflows. If you do not have Workflows, notifications aren’t available on the New Avanti Experience.

You can set up any notification from an Avanti Workflow to populate the New Avanti Experience. To set up workflows on the New Avanti Experience, you’ll need to complete the following:

  • Add Mobile Notification Maintenance to the Menu

  • Set Up the Avanti Notification Type Maintenance

  • Update the Notifications on the Workflows

  • Create the Workflow to Send Notifications to the New Avanti Experience

  • Enable Notifications on the New Avanti Experience

Add Mobile Notification Maintenance to the Menu

The following steps guide you through adding Mobile Notification Maintenance to the System Menu. If Mobile Notification Maintenance is already on the menu, skip to the Set Up the Avanti Notification Types section.

Step 1: Select Display Update Menu in System Menu.
By default, this can be found in System Administration >> System Menu.

Once Display Update Menu is selected an additional column, Update Menu, displays. The Update Menu column displays all the available menu items.

Step 2: Under Web Services >> Installation & Maintenance, Mobile Notification Maintenance may display in red font. If it does, right-click on the item and select Add New in Avanti Menu

If Mobile Notification Maintenance is not red, it's already on your menu, and skip to the Set Up the Avanti Notification Types section.

Step 4: Select OK to save your changes.

Set Up the Avanti Notification Types

There are four types of notifications:

  • What’s New

For example, you could use the Schedules Type for the Schedule Assigned and Schedule Reminder Workflows.

Additional Information
You cannot add additional notification types, but Step 2 guides you through updating the name and the description of each notification type.
