Adding a Position Code

Positions can be used to control the rate of pay for employees, and control the organization chart relationships between employees.

Tip:
Positions need not have rates applied to them if a position will only be used for roles assignments, or reporting, for example.
  1. Open Canadian Payroll > Employer Payroll Tables > Position Codes.

  2. Create a new Position Code by pressing Insert.

1Enter a short position identifier and a description of the position here.
2The supervisor for this position is specified here.
3Save the Position Code by pressing OK.

Next Steps

The position can further setup with rates, g/l settings, or defaults that will be applied when the Position Code is applied to an employee.
