UFace 800 Clock Cannot Recognize Faces

Is your uFace 800 clock failing to identify employees’ faces when they’re trying to clock in or out? This article will guide you through adjusting the clock’s camera so your employees can clock in and out successfully.

To adjust the camera, you’ll need an administrator at the clock to change the clock settings.

Step 1: Select Autotest, then select Test Face on the Clock Menu.

Step 2: Select the lower-right corner of the screen.

Additional Information
Save
icon will appear in the upper right corner.

Step 3: Position yourself in front of the camera, in the same position employees use to clock in and out.

Step 4: Then align your face so the green box and yellow box on the screen are a consistent size.

Step 5: Select Save.

Additional Information
Save will flash green once selected.

Step 6: Select Back and return to the main menu.

Step 7: Select the Reset button beneath the rubber flap on the left side of the clock. Since the button is recessed, you’ll need something thin to hit the button, such as a paperclip.

Additional Information
After the clock reboots, it takes a moment to reconnect to the network.

Congratulations! You’ve successfully recalibrated facial recognition on the clock.
