Disabling Facial Recognition on a uFace 800 Clock

You can choose how employees identify themselves on uFace 800 clocks. If you decide forgo using facial recognition to identify employees, we recommend disabling the clock’s camera.

If your camera is disabled and you’d like to start using facial recognition, skip to the How to Turn the Camera On section below.

This is only applicable to SaaS Clients using Clock Connect.

How to Turn the Camera Off

This section guides you through turning off the clock’s camera when you’re only using fingerprints, cards, or passwords to verify employees.

Step 1: Open Clock Connect on the Avanti Self-Service Portal (ASSP).

Unsure where to find Clock Connect? Enter Clock into Search on the New Avanti Experience, and it’ll direct you to the right place.

Step 2: Enter FaceFunOn=0 in Set options.

Step 3: Select Set option.

Option ’SET OPTION FaceFunOn=0’ set displays once the clock is successfully updated.

Great! You’ve turned off the clock’s camera.

How to Turn the Camera On

Step 1: Open Clock Connect on the Avanti Self-Service Portal.

Step 2: Enter FaceFunOn=1 in Set options.
