Here are the most frequently asked questions about transitioning to the latest Avanti Self-Service Portal. If you don’t see your question answered, we’re here to help! Reach out to Client Care.

Q: How do the security changes impact how employees log into ASSP?

A: There are no changes to the username or passwords when logging into the ASSP; new password complexity requirements come into effect when new users create an account and during password reset.

If you’re using multi-factor authentication, employees will only use the authenticator app if it’s set up; authenticator apps have proven to be a more effective security measure than security questions.

Q: How do I know whether I’m using multi-factor authentication?

A: Take a look at the Multi-Factor Settings tab in Avanti Self-Service Portal Security Settings on the Avanti Desktop. If Enable Multi-Factor Authentication is selected, you’re using multi-factor authentication.

Q: Where did the Reload Settings button go?

A: There’s no need for it anymore! You’ll see all your changes on ASSP within 5 minutes of adjusting. Not seeing the changes you expect after 5 minutes? We’re here to help! Reach out to Client Care.

Q: What’s my new ASSP web address going to be?

A: There are a couple of ways to find your new ASSP address.

  • If you’ve already moved to the latest ASSP, just go to your old address; it’ll redirect you to the right place.

  • If you’re not using the latest ASSP yet, check your emails from us or reach out to your Account Manager.

  • You can also determine it based on your current address; if it was https://myavanti.ca/ABCInc, your new ASSP will be https://ABCInc.myavanti.ca.

Q: How do I know if a feature on ASSP has a URL override?

A: You can find this information by double-clicking on the feature in Web Menu on the Avanti Desktop. You’ll know there’s an override if URL Override isn’t blank.
By default, Web Menu can be found in Web Services >> Installation & Maintenance.

Q: What’s my new Career Connector web address going to be?

A: There are a couple of ways to find your new address.

  • If you’ve already made the move, just go to your old address; it’ll redirect you to the right place.

  • If you’re not using the latest ASSP yet, reach out to your Account Manager.

  • You can also determine it based on your new ASSP web address; if it’ll be https://ABCInc.myavanti.ca, your new Career Connector will be https://ABCInc.myavanti.ca/careers.

Q: What’s the additional sign in information?

You can provide additional information on the ASSP sign in to provide additional context or answer some of your employee’s common questions. It could be text or hyperlink text that opens a popup with additional details.

Q: How do I know if my company has an API integration?

A: While we can’t confirm whether you’re currently using an API integration within Avanti, you can check whether someone has previously set up API access.

In System Configuration on ASSP, select System, then API Settings. If there’s a Client, you may be using an integration. You’ll want to confirm with your IT team.
