Microsoft Sign-On: No Employees Can Sign In

If none of your users can successfully log in using Microsoft Sign-On, this article will guide you through identifying and resolving the issue.

If some users can log in using Microsoft Sign-On, please go to Microsoft Sign-On: An Employee Cannot Sign In.

Before Getting Started

  • In addition to an Avanti Administrator (Regular User), troubleshooting this issue may also require your IT team’s assistance.

  • You will need the following Azure Active Directory Domain information on hand to complete the setup:

    • The Azure Active Directory Domain

    • The Azure Directory ID

If you are unsure of what these are, check with your IT administrator before starting.

Confirm the Settings

Step 1: Open Administration Settings on the Avanti Self-Service Portal.
By default, this can be found in Administration.

Step 2: Enter AzureActiveDirectoryTenant into the search on the System Settings. Ensure there are no trailing spaces.

Step 3: Select Edit.

Step 4: Ensure the value matches the Azure Directory ID provided by your IT Team.

  • If the value doesn’t match, please update the value in the setting and select Save.

Step 5: Enter Domain into the search. Ensure there are no trailing spaces.

Step 6: Select Edit for AzureActiveDirectoryDomain.

Step 7: Ensure the value matches the Azure Active Directory Domain provided by your IT Team.

  • If the value doesn’t match, please update the value in the setting and select Save.

Step 8: Select Edit for DomainName.

Step 9: Ensure the value matches the Azure Active Directory Domain provided by your IT Team.

  • If the value doesn’t match, please update the value in the setting and select Save.

How to Ensure an Avanti User Setup

Step 1: Open Avanti Users in the Avanti Desktop Application.
By default, this can be found in System Administration >> System Access Controls.

Step 2: Select a User who cannot log in using Microsoft Sign-On, then select Modify.

Step 3: Select Azure Active Directory for User authenticated by if it is not selected.

Step 4: Select the correct Domain if it is not selected.

Additional Information
If your Azure Domain is not available for selection in the Domain or if the Single Sign-On tab is not available, please contact your Implementation Specialist or Client Care
.

Step 5: Update the user’s single sign-on username in SSO Username if it is incorrect.

Step 6: Select the correct Active if it is not selected.

Step 7: Select OK to save your changes.

  • If changes were made, confirm whether everyone can log in using Microsoft Sign-On.

Confirm the Microsoft Access

If Avanti User Setup is correct, complete the following:

Step 1: Confirm whether anyone can log into other applications using Microsoft Sign-On.

  • If users cannot log into other applications, please contact your IT. The Azure Active Directory Credentials may need to be adjusted.

  • If users can log into other applications, please contact Client Care, for additional assistance. We’re here to help!
