You can create warnings that display when an employee exceeds the maximum payment for their pay period. Each pay group can have a different maximum.
A warning message displays during payroll processing for each employee in the pay group whose net pay surpasses the maximum payment. This won’t prevent the pay from processing; it only lets you know the maximum was exceeded.
How to Set the Maximum Payment on Pay Groups
Step 1: Open Pay Groups in the Avanti Desktop Application.
By default, this can be found in Canadian Payroll >> Employer Payroll Tables.
Step 2: Select the Pay Group you want to create the maximum for, then click Modify.
Step 3: Update Max Payment, then select OK to save your changes.
Step 4: Repeat Steps 2 to 4 for each Pay Group that should have a maximum payment.
Well done! You’ve updated the maximum payment for your pay groups.
