Update the Company Web Settings for the New Year

During the Year-End Process, you may need to update company web settings to extend the allowed entry date of the new calendar year. This is only necessary if you use one of the following on the Avanti Self-Service Portal.

Not using any of these? The next step in the year-end process is Update Time Entry & Time Entry Approval for the New Year.

If you are unsure of what you are using to enter time on ASSP, you can complete the steps below so there is no chance your employees will have disruption when entering time.

How to Update Allowed Date Range For Availability

This section will guide you through extending which dates users can create entries for in Availability.

If the date range is not updated, a message similar to the following will display when time outside of the allowed date range is entered.

Not using Availability? Skip to Update Allowed Date Range For Time Cards and Time Sheets.

Step 1: Open Administration Settings on the Avanti Self-Service Portal and select Company Settings.
By default, this can be found in Administration. 

Step 2: Enter AvailabilityCalendarSettings.TimeEntryAllowed in the Search.

Step 3: Select Edit for AvailabilityCalendarSettings.TimeEntryAllowedStartDate.

Step 4: Update the Value to the first date that should be available.

Step 5: Select Save.

Step 6: Select Edit for AvailabilityCalendarSettings.TimeEntryAllowedEndDate.

Step 7: Update the Value to the last date that should be available.

Step 8: Select Save.

Step 9: Select Reload Settings.

Nice job! The date range in Availability is now ready for the new year.

How to Update Allowed Date Range For Time Cards and Time Sheets

This section will guide you through updating the date range that can be selected in Time Card Summary, Time Sheet Entry, and Time Sheet Summary. There are two web settings that update all of these programs.

Not using these? Great! You can now move to the next step in the year-end process, which is Update Time Entry & Time Entry Approval to Include the New Year.

Step 1: Open Administration Settings on the Avanti Self-Service Portal and select Company Settings.
By default, this can be found in Administration.

Step 2: Enter PayrollCalendar in the Search.

Step 3: Select Edit for PayrollCalendarStartDate.

Step 4: Update the Value to the first date that should be available.

Step 5: Select Save.

Step 6: Select Edit for PayrollCalendarEndDate.

Step 7: Update the Value to the last available date.

Step 8: Select Save.

Step 9: Select Reload Settings.

Congratulations! Your Time Card Summary, Time Sheet Entry, and Time Sheet Summary are now ready for the new year! The next step in the year-end process is Update Time Entry & Time Entry Approval to Include the New Year.
